eKYC is always free. No official source will ever ask you to share an OTP, pay a fee, or enter your Aadhaar/bank details on a third-party website or link sent via SMS/WhatsApp from an unknown number. Only use your provider's official app or visit your distributor in person.
For Indane (Indian Oil) Customers
You can complete eKYC via the IndianOil ONE app or the My LPG portal.
Option A: IndianOil ONE App
Download the IndianOil ONE app
Available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Search for "IndianOil ONE."
Log in with your registered mobile number
Use the mobile number linked to your Indane LPG connection.
Navigate to the eKYC section
Look for "eKYC" or "Aadhaar Verification" in the app's menu or dashboard.
Complete face authentication
The app will prompt you to use Aadhaar FaceRD for biometric verification. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Confirmation
Once verified, you'll receive a confirmation message. Your eKYC status should update within 24–48 hours.
Option B: My LPG Portal
Visit mylpg.in
Go to mylpg.in in your web browser.
Log in with your LPG consumer details
Use your registered mobile number or consumer ID to access your account.
Find the eKYC option and complete verification
Follow the portal's instructions for Aadhaar-based verification.
For HP Gas (HPCL) Customers
Complete eKYC via the HP Gas / HP Pay app.
Download the HP Gas or HP Pay app
Available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Log in with your registered mobile number
Use the mobile number linked to your HP Gas connection.
Go to the eKYC / Aadhaar Verification section
Navigate to the relevant section in the app's menu.
Complete face authentication using Aadhaar FaceRD
The app will guide you through the biometric face scan process. Ensure good lighting.
Wait for confirmation
Your eKYC status will update once verified. You'll receive a confirmation message.
For Bharat Gas (BPCL) Customers
Complete eKYC via the Bharat Gas app.
Download the Bharat Gas app
Available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Search for "Bharat Gas."
Log in with your registered mobile number
Use the number linked to your BharatGas connection.
Navigate to eKYC / Verification
Look for the eKYC or Aadhaar verification option in the app.
Complete biometric face authentication
Follow the prompts to scan your face using Aadhaar FaceRD technology.
Confirmation
You'll receive a confirmation once your identity is verified.
Using the UMANG App (Any Provider)
UMANG is a cross-service government app that includes an LPG eKYC option for all providers.
Download the UMANG app
Available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Search for "UMANG."
Register / Log in
Create an account or log in with your mobile number.
Search for "LPG eKYC"
Use the search bar or browse under the Petroleum & Natural Gas category.
Select your provider and complete verification
Choose Indane, HP Gas, or Bharat Gas and follow the steps for Aadhaar-based biometric verification.
Visit Your Local Distributor (In Person)
If you don't have a smartphone or face difficulties with the app, you can complete eKYC in person.
Visit your local LPG distributor
Go to the gas agency/distributor from which you receive your cylinders.
Carry your Aadhaar card
Bring your original Aadhaar card or a printed copy with you.
Complete biometric verification
The distributor will assist you with the biometric (fingerprint or face) verification using their device.
Collect confirmation
Ask for a confirmation receipt or note of your completed eKYC for your records.
eKYC at the distributor is completely free. If anyone at the agency asks for payment, it is not authorized. Report it to your OMC's customer care.
Most app-based eKYC processes use the Aadhaar FaceRD app for biometric face authentication. This is UIDAI's official face recognition app. If your provider's app asks you to install it, this is normal and safe — just ensure you download it from the official Play Store/App Store listing.
